Dear Daryl
This is purely a shot in the dark but I was wondering whether there is any
record of a Rev. Thomas OSBORNE having served in Australia, please?
So far, through the births of some of his children, I have only found him to
be in the UK, in Cornwall (where he was born and served in Gwinear c 1853),
also Bridgend in Wales and Ryde on the Isle of Wight.
The reason I am asking is because his eldest daughter, Adeline OSBORNE
actually died in Geelong, Victoria in 1886 and his eldest son, William
Arthur D. OSBORNE, born 1853 in Gwinear, Cornwall, married Emily Park
DENNIS, a distant Osborne cousin who was born at Emily Park, Ballan, in
Victoria although they appear to have been married in England!!!! It is
possible that Adeline came out with an aunt and uncle, but, obviously, the
family branches communicated with each other out here.
Believe me, the Osbornes are a well-travelled lot!!!
Cheers
Pat
