Is anyone familiar with the article in the Virginia
Genealogist quarterly magazine about the Anderson and
Couch families of that county? It is a case study in
family reconstruction within a 'burned' county .I have
often thought that our line "Jacob Couch that died in
Greene Co Tn 1797" was possibly from that area. There
has been so much research done on that line, with no
results, that I believe his line must have come from a
'burned out county' meaning a lot of lost records due to
fire.
