Bill..I have recently found your web page with the Arkansas Census for the
Couch family. I believe based on this info that my father's mother, Mary
Elcie ties into the following family. I knew from past info that her father
was named John, was born abt 1870, married Elizabeth Brinkley, and lived in
Ardmore Okla in 1892 when/where Mary Elcie was born. (I have her death
certificate showing both of her parents were born in Arkansas). I also have
John's father listed as William Couch b. abt 1845. The 1860 Arkansas Census
shows the rvin Couch family with a son b 1845. The only concern is it lists
him as being born in Ga. This could well be true, as I have no proof of
where he was born. This Census lists the family living in Columbia County.
Now, in the 1880 Census, a William is listed living in Marion County who
fits the age by being born in 1845. It lists no spouse, but it does list his
children, among which is the John, which also fits being born in 1870. I'm
probably reaching/wishing. Does anyone out there have any info about this
John or William that disputes this theory??? Thanx for the help...

Are we having problems with the Couch list. I have had a number of
message like this show up. but what started the message in the first
place never shows up. Are we loosing some messages?
