In the Old Thomas 9381 Line he had a son Jacob 4698 who was married
twice. Nancy Graves 24191 and Elizabeth Clanton 2907. I have done a lot
of work trying to put names to the four children of the first marrage
with Nancy Graves. Jacob married Nancy Graves in Person County NC on 12
June 1813. The 1820 census shows Patsey Graves as Head of Household with
four children less than ten years old. There were three boys and one
girl. Patsey was on line 21 0f page 494 and her mother was on line 20.
The Person County Record Books make several references to Jacob:
In Book 6 on page 186 of the November Court in 1813-He got part of
the slaves belonging to the orphants of Henry Graves ( In the right of
his wifw Martha)
In the February Court of 1814 on Page 210 he shared in the division of
land of Henery Graves Decd.
In book 7 on page 241 he issued a deed of trust to Josias Carver on
Oct 1815
In November 13, 1829 he married Elizabeth Clanton in Pulaski County
Arkansas.
In his will dated 22 September 1860 he mentions the possibility of three
heirs in Tennessee.
I have been unable to find any divorce papers or any record of Patsey
(Martha) getting remarried.
These three boys could fit several voids and it would be nice to know
their names..
Let me know your thoughts.--Bill
