Please excuse the length of this. I do hope that someone will be kind
enough to read this and answer some of the questions.

Can any one help me? This is about Thomas Couch and his children, this is
the Thomas Couch that was in Soartanburg Co. SC in the late 1700's. His
will names four sons and three daughters.
One named son is William. Where is William at??? I have not been able to
locate any information on him.
Another son named in the will was Joseph. I believe him to be the one
listed in Spartanburg Co SC in 1790 with 5 sons. He moved to Laurens Co. SC
by 1800 Moses and Israel Couch also appear there and I believe them to be
the two oldest sons of Joseph. In 1810 Joseph is still living in Laurens
Co. with a William Couch living close by and I believe this to be his third
son. Moses is still living there and James and Isaac are also living there
and I believe they are the younger brothers of Joseph. There is also
Babeter living there. Is he a son of Joseph?? Where did Jospeh go after
1810?? Moses is still living in Laurens County in 1820. Joseph younger
brothers Isaac and James are also still there and so is Isaacs son Samuel.
Joseph other sons are reported to be James, Isaac, Benjamin, Ruben and
Joseph(This James and Isaac are younger than the other ones)

Another son named in the will is John Couch. I believe this to be the John
Couch who is living in 1790 Spartanburgh, the father of Sen. John Couch,
Matt and Benjamin who are also enumerated in the 1790 census. Is this the
same John Couch who lives in Spartanburg Co SC in 1800???

The other son mention is Drury. I believe Drury was living with his mother
Mary in 1790 in Spartanburg. His son Drury Jr., wife and daughter are also
living there.. Drury continues to live in Spartanburg SC until 1810. I next
found him living in Jackson Co. GA in 1830 not far from his sons Drury Jr.,
William and the widow of Moses(Drury's son) Moses was born between 1790 and
1800. William appeared to have a brother living with him. Drury Sr. was
living in Jasper county Georgia in 1840 real close to a Calvin Couch. I
believe Calvin was the son of Moses and Polley. It would appear that
Calvins younger brothers and sisters and mother are living with him. Drury
Jr. is living in Henry Co., GA and William is living in Upson Co. GA. The
only person I have been able to find in 1850 is William. He is still living
in Upson County. Where did everybody else go??William was married to
Rebecca and their children appear to be James, William, John, Gwinette,
Irwin and Zekial. Drury Jr's son appears to be Kinion who was married to
Sarah and their children were Williard, Thomas, Antionette, Anne, John,
Virginia and Sarah.

Other sons that were not mentioned in the will but do appear in the 1790
census in Spartanburg Co. SC are James, Isaac and Benjamin. I am not sure
which Benjamin is the son of Thomas. I believe it was the one born in 1770
and the older one was the son of John. . James and Isaac eventually moved
to Laurens Co. where they spent the remainder of there lives. Isaac had two
daughters and one son, Samuel. Samuel is in Walker Co. GA by 1850 Where and
when did Samuel die.

James had four sons Matthew, Berry, John and James Jr. Where did John and
James Jr. go?? James Jr. was still living in Laurens Cou. SC in 1840 with
his mother, wife and four young females.

I have seen nothing that would indicate that Thomas had a son named
Thomas. Who is this Thomas Jr. that everyone talks about??

What is the proof who Thomas' daughters married??? Everyone says Thomas
daughter Judith married Christopher Couch, but everone has different dates
for her. Some have her born as early as 1720 and others have her born as
late as 1759.
