Joyce: Believe we have an interest in the same line of Couches. Jane
(sometimes
shown as Jenetto or Genetto) Couch, according to the census was born in NC.
ca 1800. In 1815 she was in Knox County, Tn and married Rowland Blankenship.
They moved to Madison County, Al and later to White County, Tn. Timothy Couch
was there when they moved ca 1828 and we assume he may have been Jane's
brother and that was one reason they chose to go to White County. In
Knoxville,
Jane and Rowland's marriage bond was signed by Jonathan.Couch. A Joseph
Couch was also there. They disappeared from the Knox County census about
the same time Jane and Rowland left. I am not sure where they went but there
was a Jonathan in Lincoln County, Tn. Timothy moved from White County to
Warren County and died there. I will be glad to sent you copies of what I
have
on this family if you will send me your mailing address. Also, if you have
