Hello,

I saw this post on MIDDLETON and was wondering if anyone has any idea as to
whether or not this Richard CROUNCH might connect in any way with the Samuel
CROUCH, born: abt. 1785 in North Carolina that many of us have been searching
for for a long time?

Samuel CROUCH first married wife # 1: Sarah ? and then wife # 2: Abigaile?
(Also interested in their maiden names.)

Richard CROUNCH is mentioned below as having been in Annapolis, Maryland and
making his way, most likely, into North Carolina.

Please read the following.

Thanks.

Looking forward to hearing from anyone who might have a clue.

Annapolis, Maryland, March 27, 1771. RUN away last night from the
subscriber, a convict servant man named Richard Crounch, about 25 years of
age, 5 feet 4 inches high, dark complexion, and much pitted with the small
pox, is something low in his speech; had on and took with him, a brown suit
of cloaths, a light coloured frize coat and jacket, a pair of leather
breeches, a pair of black worsted ones, 5 or 6 pair of cotton stockings, 4
pair of shoes, with other things unknown. Whoever secures the said servant
so
that I may get him again, shall receive TWO PISTOLES, and all reasonable
charges, paid by
ANNE MIDDLETON. N.B. I suppose he is gone towards North Carolina, as he is
convicted for life.
