It was good hearing from you. The email address I gave you for Ellen
McKown is outdated. It is now: . She says my
Jeremiah Sr. and siblings are children of Captain John, NOT James. Her line
traces back to James. And they have evidence of ancestry back to James Town.
This gives credence to our common ancestor being someone closer to the James
Town area; i.e. your line moved to Brunswick County whereas our line moved up
the James River to Buckingham County. Could your Thomas have been the
brother of James and Captain John?
I'm glad you're using some of your retirement time in tracing our Couch
ancestry in the U.S.
