Hubert D. Couch
CHARLESTOWN -- Hubert D. Couch, 85, died Tuesday at
Robert E. Lee Healthplex, New Albany, IN. He was a native
of Charlestown, a retired laborer for the old Farm Bureau
Fertilizer Company and had worked as a roofer for many years.
He served as a private first class in the US Army during
World War II, was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars
in Charlestown and had been awarded a Certificate of
Recognition by General James H. Doolittle and General
William C. Westmoreland.
He is survived by his brother, Marvin K. Couch of Charlestown; niece,
Carolyn Hauenstein; and nephew, Keith Couch.
Funeral services will be conducted by American Legion Post #204
at 11 a.m. Thursday at Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg, IN,
with interment in Sellersburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to
American Legion Post #204.
