Hello to all Couch Researchers, and Especially those of you that are new to
the Couch-l List.
We have a Couch DNA project at

This has been a good tool in lettin us all know who is kin to who. Even tho
we don't have the paper trail for all the Couch'es we do know most of the
ones in the South are in Group 5. And probably all are descendants of the
old Thomas and Elizabeth who was in VA about 1700

No one North of Virginia has came back with a DNA match to group 5

We still have a number of know Couch family lines who have not taken the
test and I would like to see at least 2 or 3 from each line take the test.

As you know there is a number of DNA test that just don't seem to match up
with anyone from the Couch line. So it is important to find another person
some distance away from the one that took the test and see if it will match
a know Couch line.

But even those who do not match, You are still a Couch line and if you can
find the connection where it started then you can help future Researchers.
