There is none showing, These are sons of John Vincen Couch and Ocie Mae
Meade

Looks like lots of the stone is under the ground, These are WWII military
marker stones. and I thought they put dates on them.

I show grover M as 1918-1947 in my records
and Jeremiah as 1920-1970

Are there birth and death dates on the grave markers? Those may be helpful
in identifying these.

The two Couch graves are of a Grover M. Couch and Jeremiah Couch who are
brothers.
I don't show them on the Jeremiah chart yet but will get them on there soon.

Bill,
I recently located two graves in Russell County, VA on a farm owned by one
of my great uncles. We've always referred to it as Aunt Pauline's place,
it's right on the Clinch near the small town of Carterton. My family has
always loved hiking this farm, and it's been awhile since anyone's lived on
it. My grandmother, Erma Grizzle and Aunt Pauline are still good friends and
I've met Aunt Pauline at the Grizzle family reunion a few times.

I was wondering if you could shed any light on the Couch's graves
photographed above. I've been studying WWII a bit over the past few years,
and finding vets graves like this has a special place in my heart. The grave
yard is in a large cow pasture, and is in pretty poor repair unfortunately.
The headstones have sunken quite alot as you can see. I'm hoping to clean it
up a bit with the my Aunt's permission next summer.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Here's a quick satellite picture link to the area:

The graves are located nearest the last building on the far end of the
peninsula if you will.
