MOBILE CO., AL.
Mr. George Gordon Countryman, a native of Prichard, Al. and a lifelong
resident of Mobile died Wednesday, April 15, 1992 in a local hospital. He is
survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice "Jackie" Countryman of Mobile; one son,
George Gordon Countryman, Jr., of Madison, Ind..; one daughter, Mrs. Charles
(Rosemary) Boardman of Port Byron, Ill..; one brother Walter Countryman of
Mobile; five grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services will be held
from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Saturday, April 18, 1992 at 10 a.m.
Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5 until 8
p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

of Radney Funeral Home on Saturday, May 18, 1996 at 2 p.m. with Dr. Jerry
Gunneslls officiating. Pallbearers were Robert Cochran, W. O. Snider, C. E.
Skipworth, John Wright, Rodney Smith, Thad Hamby. Masonic graveside services
were rendered by Pentalpha Lodge #804. Services were conducted by the
Honorable William A. Atwood, 32nd degree KCCH.

The Rev. H. R. Morgan officiated at the Aug. 12 ceremony in which
Traci Lynn Gonterman of Theodore became the bride of Ricky Steven White, Jr.
The wedding took place in Magnolia Springs Baptist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wayne Gonterman of
Theodore, and was given in marriage by her father. The bridegroom's parents
are Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Steven White, Sr.
Kathy Ann Kyte was maid of honor for the bride, who was als attended
by her sister, Theresa Evon Gonterman of Theodore.
Dennis Brinson Cross was best man for the bridegroom, who was also
attended by his brother, Shawn Ashley White, Dennis Keith Kyte and Curtis
Tammy Marie Gonterman of Theodore, sister of the bride, was flower
girl, and Lawrence Randall White, brother of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.
The reception was held in the church followship hall. The couple left
for a wedding trip along the Gulf Coast, after which they will reside in

treasurer of the Junior Civitan Club. She is employed by Simply $6

baseball, basketball, and football. He is employed by Wal-Mart.

p. 101 John T. Countryman, a miller by trade, and his wife lived in the
near Heald School before the Civil War.
They had three sons, Tom, Jim, Bill
Tom married Sarah Jerusha Huumphries whose father John Humphries
died in the Civil War. Sarah's Mother was a sister to Hense
Confederate Veteran. Sarah was a first cousin to Mon Humphries, a
Baptist preacher of that time.
The Tom Countryman children were; Andrew J., Arthur L, F. Marion,
La Vette, and John who are all dead. T. Jefferson "Cap" lives in
Attalla, Al and Henry lives in Odessa, Tex.
Henry married Nell Turner and second Ann Waddell of Odessa, Tex.

W. R. Countryman went to Texas in 1885 when he was 18. He married
in Ellis Co., Texas Clara Estella Glenn, sister of W. H. Glenn
