Hello Weld Co CO researchers,
I am trying to find as much information as possible about the Rutledge
familiy that lived in Weld Co. Between 1877 and 1880 three brothers of my
gr grandfather, Charles Edward Rutledge, left Lewis Co., MO and settled in
the Weld Co area.

The oldest brother George Washington Rutledge is enumerated on the 1880
BlackHawk/Central City, Gilpin Co., CO census, he moved to Timnath, Larimer
Co.,CO.

The other 2 brothers are John William Rutledge and Andrew T. Rutledge and
they are listed on the 1880(Fed) and 1885(state) Weld Co census.

John W. married Mrs. Lady Helen Hallock Buswell 26 Oct 1887 in Weld County.
Their marriage license was listed as "not returned" in the Weld Co CO
Marriages pt 1. Is it possible to obtain a copy of this marriage license
application? This family moved on to Fresno, CA about 1900.

Andrew T. Rutledge m Nellie L Harris 18 Nov 1880, Weld Co. Andrew died 8
Aug 1888 and is buried in Linn Grove Cemetery. He left a wife, Nellie and
at least one child, Mable Rutledge. I would like to complete this family.

I believe Mrs Lady Helen Hallock Buswell Rutledge and Nellie L Harris were
related. The mother of Lady Helen was Lady Aurora Harris.(Lady must have
been a family name!)

Mrs L. Helen Hallock Buswell had 3 daughters from her first marriage,
Josephine E. m P.L. Howard; Grace C.; and Helen H. m Frank Loustalet of
Weld County. I believe this last daughter stayed in Weld County. I would
like to connect with anyone related to the families mentioned so I can
complete this part of my "indirect family".
I look forward to continuing my Weld Co CO research through this list.
