Yes, the E. W. Cox mentioned was born 1822 in what is now Barbour County,
AL., moved to Texas about 1840 and married Frances Browning in 1844, then
move to Claiborne Parish around 1850. The family as been in and around
north-central Louisiana every since. How-ever, there was three families of
Cox in Jackson Parish in 1936 that was from Alabama that were not related.
