Washington Twp, Jefferson County and Elk County, PA.Twin brothers John and

doctors, but farmers and lumbermen.>>

I have traced my Crawford line back to John Richard Crawford born in Ireland
Jan. 20, 1748, died Oct. 10, 1856. His wife was born in Germany, August 4,
1753 and died March 13, 1857. I do not have any information concerning when he
came to America or if he had siblings.

John Richard Crawford's son, Josiah was born in Pennsylvania, May 22, 1802,
Died in Sullivan Co. Indiana, March 12, 1874. He married Sarah Elizabeth
Shoffner (1833-1885) in 1849. Their first child was born in VA in 1850. I do
not know when John Richard Crawford came to PA, but it must have been prior to
1802.

Could John Richard be the twin you refer to?
