Hi Wendy,
Welcome to the list. I have a James Crawford who migrated from Ireland
sometime before 1850. He appears in the 1850 census, living in what
appears to be a boarding house in Lee, Berkshire Co., MA. In the 1860
census he has 3 children ages 11, 14, and 15 and it shows a wife
Isabella age 40. We believe the 3 children listed at that time were
born in Ireland. (Possibly a different wife) In the 1870 census, James
has died but has left Isabella with children aged 1 yr to 18 yrs. (7 in
total). This is my brick wall, but I keep knocking.
