Dear Deborah
My Crawford family is from the Hancock County part of Ohio. My
grandmother was Arra Blanche Crawford Darrow Steinmetz. Her father was Jesse
Crawford and her mother was Jane Elizabeth Whittington Crawford. They lived
on a farm outside
Findlay Ohio. Her mother was the second wife of Jesse Crawford. Her siblings
were Charles, Curt, Maggie, Annie, Viola and Jennie. My grandmother was the
youngest child, born in 1879.
"Gramme" as I knew her , told me the familiy roots were in the
Shennandoah Valley. She also said her great great grandfather was Col.
William Crawford, killed by the Indians, a monument in Bucyrus Ohio. I have a
partial journal that she started, pictures and stories that were told.
I don't know if were are in the same family, I am new at this, as well
as the computer. I would like to share information and get some guidance if
that is okay.
