Unaware people can possibly lose all their genealogy work should their
computers become infected and the solution becomes to have to reformat their
hard drives. Be sure to have BACKUP files OFF your main computerr --
hopefully a few over time.

Virus messages are generally off topic but everyone should know there are
several new worms and viruses making there way about the net and causing
homes and businesses lots of trouble.

Some of the new worms enter your computer by means other than email (may
have NOTHING to do with address books). Make sure you have a good VIRUS
PROGRAM and check for virus updates EVERY FEW DAYS. Also download the
SECURITY PATCH from the microsoft site. Having a firewall program on your
computer in addition to a virus program is helpful.

Keep your genealogy and other important files safe. Don't chance hurting
others by not having up to date virus protetection and inadvertantly passing
on these unwelcome worms and viruses.
