Your names kinda seem like they oughta be among my Westmoreland and Armstrong
Counties PA bunch but I did not identify them - I haven't found everybody yet!
My G's are usually George, and I do have Jameses and Claras. Like you, I knew
nothing of my grandmother's family and have had to work it out - an ongoing
project. Cousins are good to find!
What I did find (someone else's online tree) is what may be a partial
accounting of children for the James + Rachel Wood. It doesn't show a "G" or
Clare, though. Maybe you and that researcher can sort something out.
If/when you need/want to sort through my online tree, go to ancestry.com, enter
Levi Klingensmith Crawford (ggrandpa, most unique name I could think of to get
into), look for the one by grannytoad, then click on index, enter crawford.
You'll get a page and a half.
Now. I noticed on the 1880 that next door was another Crawford, elder brother W
H. How did I know that's his brother Henry? From the 1870 census, same place.

PO Randall, 28 June
CRAWFORD James 52 farmer OH
Rachel 46 OH
Henry 32 works on farm OH
George S 18 ditto OH
John T? 16, Lucinda? 13, Rucil 11 (f), Clara 8, Ester 7, Janey 5, Elsa 3
-I wonder what tragedy took both parents! Maybe the rootsweb message boards or
email list for Allen Co, IN, someone could tell you. Or cemetery listings for
that place at interment.net, or maybe dig up some info for that decade at
http://www.rootsweb.com/~inallen/.
