Someone on list no too long ago asked the status of availability of Hudson
County vital records since the Feds had apparently confiscated their documents.

Just now, Fox News reported that the government has ordered the Hudson County
passport office closed and is not honoring Hudson County documentation. It
continues to investigate the fraudulent sale of birth certificates at the
Jersey City facility for purposes of obtaining fraudulent passports, etc.

Strong terrorism ties to the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center and
continued terrorism concerns.
