this James did have a daughter named Jane and a son named John, no further information on them. There are so many Crawfords in the Va, NC., SC in this time frame, 1720-1740, that I think many early researcher may have mixed the families. I do not think one can connect the Va. Crawford directly with the NC Crawford family of Capt. James and Capt. Robert Crawford. They may relate back in Scotland or Ireland, but that connection is difficult to make in America.
