GILL, ROBERT D.
Died at 7:18 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2002, at his residence near
Amite. He was
47 and a native of Independence. Visiting was held at McKneely
Funeral
Home, Amite, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday. Visiting at the
funeral home
from 8 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Wednesday. Religious service at Sharon
Baptist
Church, Amite, at 11 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Mason
Miley.
Interment in Sharon Cemetery. Survived by his father, Jack Gill
Jr., Amite;
a sister, Susie Smith, Amite; a twin sister, Robin Stevenson,
Amite;
brothers, Jack Gill III, William Gill, twin brothers, Walen and
Galen Gill,
all of Amite; and nieces and nephews, Tommy, Tory and Terry Gill,
Janet
and Jeanette Stevenson, Ashley Gill Vaccaro, Jake Reeves and
Kristen and
Whitney Gill. Preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Creel Gill.

GILL, JAMES C. "JIMMY"
A resident and native of Kentwood, he died Saturday, Sept. 26,
1998, near
Brunswick, Ga. He was 62. Visiting at Kentwood Methodist Church,
Kentwood,
6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday. Religious
services at
the church at 1 p.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Fred Moore.
Interment in
Woodland Cemetery. Survived by wife, Barbara Joe Smith Gill,
Kentwood; two
daughters and sons-in-law, Veronica Gill and Tom Simmons, Walker,
and
Ramona Gill and Charles Eberly, Baton Rouge; a son and
daughter-in-law,
Paris Alexander and Nikki Gill, Walker; three grandchildren,
Chaning
Elizabeth Simmons, Tommy Mason Simmons III and Paul Alexander
Eberly; a
sister, Margaret Ann Creel, Houston; two brothers, Bobby Gill,
Kentwood,
and Fernie Ray Gill, Spring Creek; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, in charge of arrangements.
