It doesn't establish relationship, but at least it does put Arthur and Jacob
together in Granville Co. in 1755. It doesn't tell us much more than that,
but the more of these type records we accumulate the more we can narrow it
down. For example, based just on that one tax record I would estimate birth
date of both Jacob and Arthur as "before 1735" and death date "after 1755".
This is a technique I use to place a timeframe with a name. Some people
might criticize this, but it has been helpful to me in trying to sort these
things out. And the more records you get the better the estimate becomes.
Entering each of these records into a spreadsheet or database, where they
can be sorted any way you choose, makes analyzing the data a lot easier.
It's unfortunate that most genealogy programs don't offer the ability to
analyze the data in this way.

Bailey isn't there because he wasn't born until 1780. Is NewH = New Hanover
County? I will have to take some time to see if I have anything that might
refer to this Joseph, and the same applies to John in NC in 1701.

That's interesting, I wouldn't have expected to find Crockers in "Lost
Tribes...". Were there any dates associated with these names? Otherwise,
not enough data to make any deductions from this.
