If families....
have similar values
think alike
act alike............
Solomon was excommunicated for drunkedness.
MY ggranddaddy Elijah got drunk one week-end. (If I had lost my second
wife and two of my little childred, I don't know what I would have
done. Not get drunk...but you get the point.) He was to be kicked
out of the church. He told them in no uncertain terms, he was "one of 3
"trustees" of that church, HE gave the land for the church, and he
SELDOM got drunk. Nothing in the Red Oak minutes says anything about
excommunication.

He later did start another church between Red Oak and Nashville, NC. I
think because he probably lost most of his land. The church is near the
Crocker homeplace near 95.

Did you notice how the "sinners" were "scolded" by "sinners" who were
later themselves indicted for something?

One reason excommunication is very unusual in the Baptist church now.

John Jones probably took the son to the FRONT yard to have a REAL
fight! And if things haven't really changed that much, the "kid"
probably needed a good fight.

TEMPERS! TEMPERS! TEMPERS!

We're still trying to learn to control them, aren't we!

Keep searching!
