Hello Gail:
Yes, you have just shared with us some new information... new, at least, to
me. Job Crocker's eldest son, Samuel, born 5-15-1671, died 1759, married
lst 12-10-1696 Sarah Parker born 1678, died 1718, daughter of Robert &
Patience (Cobb) Parker; they had 13 children. Samuel married 2d 4-12-1719
Judith (Hobart) Leavitt, widow of Joseph Leavitt of Rochester MA, and had
two more children.
Ebenezer was the 9th child of Samuel and Sarah (Parker) Crocker. he was
born 6-5-1710, died in CT 1754, married 6-12-1735 Anne Eldridge, born
Yarmouth MA 8-23-1717. According to my records they moved to Broome County,
NY. Ebenezer had nine children, the first five probably born Barnstable;
Ezekiel, Ebenezer's third child, was born in Barnstable MA 11-24-1739, died
East Haddam CT 12-25-1824, married 1st 2-28-1765 Lydia Arnold of East
Haddam CT. He may have married a 2d time... Ezekiel had six children. All
of them, according to my records resided in Richmond MA. David was
Ezekiel's first born. His siblings were: Samuel, Lucy, Tabitha, Bethia, and
Gershom. I have no data on any of these Crockers.
David Crocker was baptized 8-14-1785 (probably as an adult).
This is as far as my records go with this line. If you have further
information about David Crocker, when and where he died, when and where he
married Polly Jay, when and where she was born and died, and who her
parents were, and the same information about their descendants, I would
appreciate it if you would share it with me so it can be included in Vol.
III of "A Crocker Genealogy" for which I am now gathering material. .Any
details about this line after they moved from Barnstable will be welcome.
The super thing about this list is that people are sharing their
information and helping one another!
Best regards, Andrea
