Barbara, please accept apologies for delayed response to your query of
4-3-98. I have printed your information and filed it with other queries.
Let me say this much, though... If your James Crocker was in England until
after 1874, it is only remotely possible that you will be connected with
any of the Crockers who have descended from either William of Barnstable
(1639) or Anthony of Virginia (1600?) or any of the other early emigrants
from Devon to the colonies. May I suggest you begin your search with one of
the county lists in England? Find out what county he was born in and join
the list that covers that county... lots of help available that way.
