Andy,
We have a line of Crocker's from the Washington State Area. Charles H
Crocker who married Sophia Crooks had daughter Dawn Lynn Crocker. Have just
started this line but Dawn was born in Washington State and died in
Sacramento California. Legend has it that her uncle was the head of Rainer
Brewery in the 1930's. Any connection to this line would be helpful.
Husband's family had some members in the Carolina's but I have not been able
to connect as yet. Thanks for the lead on Anthony & William
Sharon

Patrick
Sorry about your computer difficulties. I can sympathize, and I do.
My Crocker expertise is limited to the family of Dea. William Crocker who
came from England to arrive in Massachusetts in the 1630s, settled in
Barnstable, MA in 1639. He and his wife, Alice, had several sons and their
descendent had many lines and as far as I have been able to determine none
of them is named Bailey, nor are the other names, or places or dates in
your query familiar.
In Isle of Wight, VA, the family of Anthony Crocker became the ancestors of
an entirely different line of Crocker families.
Many of Anthony's descendents moved to the Carolinas and other southern
states before, eventually, spreading westward as did descendents of William,
as well.
I am taking the liberty of forwarding this correspondence to the Rootsweb
List of Crockers, hoping that one of the families connected to Anthony's
lines will recognize some name, place, or date, in your query.
I hope this will help you trace your genealogy.
Sincerely,
Andy

Andy,
Sorry about so long in getting back to you, have had computer problems,
printer quit and still does not print good , then had a mini crash that has
left some programs not functioning well, software and difficult to get
assistance in from one who understands English (my Thai wife of 39 years
does but, not computer talk)
Bailey Crocker born 6 March 1780 in Granville County, North Carolina,
married Sarah Tait (Tate) about 1810 and moved to Tennessee, they had 11
children, Elizabeth G. Crocker, my ggg grandmother was second born, on June
23, 1814. Bailey Crocker and wife moved on to Greene County, Missouri where
both died, have no sure dates of death or place of burial for either.
Elizabeth married James Riley Housden Sr. 12 Jan 1837 in Williamson County,
Tennessee and they also moved to Missouri where most of their 7 children
were born. they died in Texas County, Missouri and are buried there,
Elizabeth in 1869 and James I do not have a death date. Their son James
Riley Housden had eleven children and moved to Washington State in 1880's
most of his children followed although several did stay in Missouri. This
is my branch.
I am interested in obtaining any further information regarding this
particular branch of Crocker's both before and after. do have quite a few
individuals in my data base gathered from several sources over the years. I
have only in the past year and a few months obtained the internet connection
here in Northern Thailand. No high speed connections and must hope that
things get through on the poor copper wire system particularly now in the
rainy season. Hope to hear from you.

Patrick,
It would be helpful if you were to provide dates and places of birth,
marriage, deaths, if you have that information. It is difficult to
search
for information that does not provide some details other than names.
