Hi!

I'm looking for information on the SOCUTA's of BALTIC. My 2nd great
grandmother, KATIE SOCUTA, was in Baltic in 1939, according to her son JOHN
Geroge PETRIE's obituary (he died at age 47). She had remarried to a Mr.
Socuta.

What I'd like to know is this...where was she born (her son listed his
mother as being born in NY on the 1920 census, but he was so vague about his
parentage, that I'd like to double check)...and where were HER parents born.
Also, was she still married?...if so, how long had she been married to this
man. Were there others living in their house?

Whether KATIE was her given name, or if it was Katherine, Catherine,
Kathleen, Kate, or Katrina, I can't say for sure...or if Socuta could have
been spelled Sokuta. This family has been a great mystery to me...and every
time a get a lead, a more confounding mystery presents itself!
