Eleanore, you answered some long-time questions in the family with your
information ie, "If he was English, why did he speak German?". Another
question, what was a bail maker? A man who posts bail, or one who makes wire
handles for buckets? Would the former have to have sufficient funds of his
own to set himself up in business, etc.?
