Dear Richardson,

I am a student at ECSU and am very proud of our new library and the new
equipment in it. I cannot vouch for your previous research and what you still
need, but you can compare what you have already with the information about
the Center's collection at the website: <A HREF="http://www.easternct.edu/depts/ctstudies/">Center For Connecticut Studies</A>. All
the census and indexes that I have used to help you research your family
names are at the Center and in addition they have a large census collection
for Rhode Island and Mass. There are may directories, old newspapers and town
reports too. The book collection includes town and county histories and can
be searched on CONSUL and narrowed to Eastern U. However the CT State
Library collection is on CONSUL as well. http://csulib.ctstateu.edu/search
and I have been told by a few vistors that the State Library sent them to see
a certain old book.

The parking will be much better now that the students have completed finally
exams.

There no Gardner Wilcox at all in the 1880 Census for CT. Maybe his given
names was mispelled and in that cas I have included the "Gordon" below. These
are the only Wilcoxes in Preston, CT in 1880:
