Now I find this interesting. Reason is that another researcher gave me this:

Charles F. Green blacksmith Knight near Wall South Norwalk Norwalk
CT 1887,1888

Charles F. Green blacksmith 39 Main South Norwalk CT

Charles F. Green carriagesmith Knight Center Avenue, N Norwalk CT
1889

Charles F. Green carriage smith 12 Merwin, N Norwalk CT 1891

I first find the Charles Green I seek in the 1860 Poughkeepsie census at
age 1 year, then again in the 1880 Plainfield, NJ census at age 20,
blacksmith. This family was all in the carriage building trade. He is my
grandmother's brother.

How do I reconcile what you're saying? Deb says he's in the 1900 and 1910 CT
census too. Are Norwalk and New Haven synonymous? The people you give me
don't look like the ones I have, except the one who is a carriage painter.
He might be another relation. I am open to any suggestion.

This would be for Charles F. Green, age 41, Norwalk, blacksmith/carriage
smith. He was there in the 1880s. I would appreciate a look for anyone in
his household if he's still there. Thank you for all the help you have given
