How and where would I find records on my mothers placement in the Mt. Carmel Childrens home in Hadam, just outside New Haven? She was placed there approx 1910 at age 5 years old, and left when she was approx. 16. She was born 28 Dec. 1905, so she would have gone in approx. 1910 and come out approx 1916. As you can see, the cencus records have not been any help. Is there such a place as an orphans court? Would someone be silling to help me find these records? Thank you so much.
