Hello Stevan,
Glad it was them..I did take a look for James, without much luck however.

Heritage Quest has just two English born TELFORD indexed for 1930 CT .
Ellen was one and the other was a widowed 67yr old James Telford, born ENG,
emig 1882, in Bridgeport, Fairfield cnty, no family with him, but he would
be too old..

There is another James in New London county but born NY SCOT NY, 43, lodger,
single, tile worker.

Perhaps another lister with Ancestry can access other states for the 1930.
