I found the Gillette marriage I was looking for. It comes into my BARBER line.

Thomas Barber b. 1614 m. Jane or Joan____
son Thomas b. July 14, 1644 m. Mary PHELPS
dau. Mary b. Jan. 11, 1666 m. in 1696 Peter Brown b. Mar 2, 1667 s/o Peter Brown & Mary Gillette.

According to the research my aunt did, there was no issue found on Mary Barber & Peter Brown. That doesn't mean there was one though.
Peter's parents is what got me started on looking for info. on William Hooker Gillette... not knowing that he was descendant of Rev. Thomas Hooker. I had a good hunch that Hooker must have been his middle name.

Geesh, grew up in EH most of my life and never thought I was related to William Gillette. I told hubby and he imedately said "As in Gillette's Castle".
What other famous William Gillette in CT is there? HA!

When I get my notes together on William Gillette, I'll get it posted on the web site. It just might take a few days.
