Hi. As you probably found out long ago (I'm just now
getting to my April Emails), Robert Cady Gates has
published his "George Gates" and includes your first
and third GATESes from your query. I don't have PURPLE
information, but there must be some distant relations
he happened upon it.
James Madison-6 GATES (Phineas-5,4, George-3,
Thomas-2, George-1) is RCG Gates # 156 on p.113. RCG
did not have the name of the mother of Martha Maria
HOUSE, for which I thank you.
Caroline A.-5 Gates (Jacob-4,3, Joseph-2, George-1)
is on p.30 under Jacob RCG #31. RCG does have the
PURPLE children, but all his data are from Paterson.
If you do not have this or know of the "George Gates"
book, Robert can be contacted on the HADDAM list. His
Email addy is
Daniel
