Hello Diane, I hope this is the right list for me. I am not sure about
Mt Ragi or if any of my family were there.
I am Margaret Davis, and I live in northern Nevada, although I still
regard myself as a "Yankee". I was born in Berkshire Co. MA. Although, I
have always had an interest in genealogy I only became active in that
pursuit about three years ago. I have amassed a large amount of data in
those three years and I am always will to share with other researches.
At this point, I am primarily interested in Jehiel SMITH, bapt. 3 June,
in Greenfield/Fairfield CT. Jehiel's parents were Daniel(4), John(3),
John(2), John(1) and Sarah (PRICE) SMITH. He m. Pene DAVIS 24 Nov 1768
and from that point until 1786, (when I found him in Hancock, MA) I have
little information aside from two sons, John(my line and I do have lot
of info on him) and George.

I really wanted to respond to Bob, because do have PECK's in CT. My
ggrandmother was Sarah (PECK) ALDRICH, she lived in Colebrook, CT. I
don't have a lot of information on her but here is what I do have, most
of it compiled by my cousin.

Sarah (PECK) ALDRICH, b.20 Sept. 1821 d. 22 Aug. 1904 in Colebrook, CT
daughter of, Withrop PECK, b. ??? in Newtown, CT. and Rebecca AVERY abt.
1797 (Gay Head) Fishkill, NY

The following are a few excerpts, written by my cousin:

"Sarah is apparently 1 of 9 children, three male and six female. Sarah
resided in Naugatuck, CT and was a widow at the time of her marriage to
Henry ALDRICH, 10 Mar. 1849. Her first husband's name was DUFFAL."
