I have two Benedict-Hoyt couples in about this time frame, but no
knowledge of their Revolutionary War service. The DAR Patriots list
would be able to give you that.

#1 Thomas Benedict, b. 9 Nov 1694, d. 4 Jul 1776, son of James
Benedict & Sarah Gregory, m. Abigail Hoyt, daughter of John Hoyt --
probably too old, but you never can tell! -- Bailey: History of
Danbury p. 79

#2 Francis Benedict, born Danbury, married Mary Hoyt. Francis was
the son of James Benedict (1710-1777) & Mercy Knapp; James the son
of James Benedict; James the son of James Benedict & Sarah
regory. -- Knapp Genealogy, p. 15
