Dona and All,

If in fact John/2 was born in England that implies that Catherine was not the dau
of Gov. Wm Leete, who was in Conn. long before 1666 (arrived New Haven Colony 1639,
Justice of the peace in Guilford 1642). FWIW
http://users.erols.com/showe/LeeteFamily.html shows no daughter named Catherine,
nor any son marrying a Catherine.

And Samuel ROBARDS is not on the Middletown founders plaque at Old Riverside
Cemetery so he arrived after 1653 or so.

I have her as Catherine Leete Robards, period, m. Thomas/1 WETMORE 8 Oct. 1673.
Leete is also spelled LEET and LEEKE in various places.

Her will was made Aug. 14, 1688, by which she bequeathed her property to her first
children, William, Samuel and John Robards, and her last children, Benjamin,
Abigail and Hannah II Whitmore/Wetmore.

So that pretty well identifies her previous husband as Samuel ROBARDS Sr. If her
first husband was a LEETE she had no children with him.
