Hi,
I may have contacted you before and, if so, I apologize. As this is one
of my major brick walls; I have to keep trying, especially of someone who
lives in Beacon Falls.
My ancestor is a George T. Clark, b. abt. 1828, m. Mary Etta (or Marietta)
Bassett abt. 1849 and had a 4 mo. old child named Marshall. George's
occupation is stated as oysterman. In 1850 they lived in the same house with
David & Mary Bassett and next door to Chauncey & Esther Clark. By 1860
Marshall is no longer listed in the census but there was: Emmagene, age 9;
Marietta, age 4; Ellsworth, age 2 and Alice age 1. They no longer live with
David Bassett or near Chauncey Clark. The middle initial "T" is important as
it seems to be used consistently.
There was a George T., son of Charles French in Beacon Falls. The dates
do not match up but could be part of the same family line. (Wishful
thinking!)
If you know anything about any of these people, it might loosen at least 1
brick.
Thank you for your kind attention.

June
