This Cronan clan is very elusive--one reason is that so many had the same
first name. The two small clues I have are: A small slip of paper indicating
that they came from "The shadows of Maynooth College" and my husband's cousin
who is 83 and lives in Offaly and she said the Cronan family came from County
Longford {and she had no doubt about this}. There were two Philip
Cronans--father and son. Son died a young man before his father. Both buried St. Bernards
cemetery new haven. They actually lived in Orange and west haven connecticut
{Still do}. Judy
