Well, the general thinking seems to be that the album was thrown out by the
staff after the person who owned it had died. When I posted, I forgot to
mention that there is a convalescent home up the hill from the assisted living
facility. They are actually owned by the same people so maybe they brought
the albums down the hill to the shared dumpster.

I am going to check the obits from the New haven register for the past
several months. I really want those albums--they contain this person's ENTIRE
life! So lovingly put together, page after page. The few I saw had brief
descriptions on the back--"Tina's communion" I remember on one. I could find a
new owner, I know I could do that. Wonder if the young girl who found them
will wan t them? When I go over tmorrow, I will ask again.

Here is what I found: The name on the album was JEAN DEMOS. I looked it up
on ancestry and this is a GREEK name. There are a few people in the area
with that name including one person here in my own town. I can't do much else
until I get my hands on the albums. A very nice lady from Colorado is
searching for DEMOS but did not know the name JEAN or the CT. connection. She said
that GREEKS are VERY family oriented and would be appalled at the thought of
this treasure being thrown away. I am not sure, but I wonder if there are
any pictures from Greece in the album. There are a few from Hawaii which look
like they are from preWW2.

Anyway, thanks to all who responded. JUDY
