Kathy -

You may want to contact locations in New Bedford, MA which was considered the
whaling capitol of the world and only a short distance north of Mystic. Each
has copious amounts of records on the whalers. The New Bedford Free Public
Library is located on Williams and Pleasant Sts; the Dartmouth Historical
Society and the Whaling Museum are each located on Johnny Cake Hill. All are
in New Bedford and the zip code is 02740.

where they could be found? I have an ancestor, Austin BROWN that was
on the ship Hannibal in 1850 in New London.
