Who is Dorothy Beckwith?

According to H. Allen Smith's AGENEALOGICAL HISTORY OF THE DESCENDANTS OF
THE REV. NEHEMIAH SMITH OF NEW LONDON COUNTY, CONN., Simon SMITH (b. abt
1712, East Lyme, Connecticut; d. May 28, 1760, Niantic, Connecticut) m. date
unk. Dorothy BECKWITH. Simon Smith, son of Samuel and Elizabeth (Ely) Smith,
was the great-grandson of Rev. Nehemiah Smith. I have found nothing about
Dorothy Beckwith or her ancestry.

A LDS Ancestral File lists a Dorothy Beckwith (no marriage listed), b. 1720,
as the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Lee) Beckwith. Joseph was, reportedly,
the son of Joseph and Susannah (Tallman) Beckwith, and grandson of immigrant
Matthew and Elizabeth Beckwith. I have not been able to document from
credible sources the existence of Joseph and Mary (Lee) Beckwith and their
family.

Any help tracking the Beckwith family would be appreciated.
