Hi, everyone. I'm forwarding this from a non-subscriber to see if
anyone can help. If you can, or if you know anything about the Gray
family, please respond directly to Les. Thanks! Pat
******
In looking at the Hale Collection on microfilm, I noticed Mary Gray, age
62 who died in Dec. 1764. It stated that she was at "Stonington 319
Inscription, cemetery 23, page 329." I was wondering if you knew the
proper name for that cemetery in Stonington. It may be in the North
Stonington area, or Ledyard today, as my Gray ancestors are all from the
Ledyard area.
The other question is that I just looked up the page on the
"Stoddard-Avery Cemetery" in the Ledyard-Gales Ferry area done by
Michael Dreimiller. It is a very short listing of transcriptions and I
didn't know if this was the complete list (I didn't even see any
Avery's). But I'm actually looking for Gray's there, too, as a distant
relative said there are lots of Gray's and Cook's in that one. From the
looks of that page, I'm not so sure.
Thanks again for your help. I sincerely appreciate it.
Best regards,
Les Taylor
