Both these men are the sons of Christopher Main & Amelia Weaver.
They were born in Pharsalia of Chenango Co NY just after the town
name was changed from Stonington as it was originally called because
so many of the population were from Stonington CT.

It is believed that both first names reflect some family connection.
But, because the parents of both Christopher Main and Amelia Weaver
are unknown the connection is unexplained.

Christopher Main was supposedly born in 1774 in the Stonington CT
area and Amelia Weaver about 1776-1779. They supposedly arrived in
Chenango Co in 1802 coming from Stonington CT although there may
have been in intermediate stop in either CT or NY.
