I have been doing research on the early history of New London and
surroundings and I noticed that in the 1790 US Census some of the people I
am interested in are listed as being inhabitants of "Woodbridge Town." This
"Woodbridge Town" must be either very close to today's New London or part
of New London. I know that there is Woodbridge in New Haven County which
became incorporated in 1784 but this Woodbridge has nothing to do with New
London.
Can anyone enlighten me?
