On the "Correction of Mary Smith Paine" that was in the Parke Newsletter
Vol 31 NO 3 1994
Who was the author?

I am having a hard time connecting Mary (the wife of Joseph Parke) to
John Smith (1655-1736) of Lyme CT.

Sources given in the article were The American Genealogist V 18:124 and
Vol 25:140
CT Nutmegger Vol 7 #1: 3-10
Miner Family by Selleck 1928 pg 159-61
John Smith of Lancaster MA by Rev Alven Smith 1931

Does anyone have copies of these and does it show a daughter Mary for
John-3 Smith?

The John (1655-1736) married a Mary ?? in 26 OCt 1685 according to LYME
marriages -It did not list her as Mary BILL.

Does anyone have the Parke Newsletter VOl 30 pg 27 that listed the
"Incorrect lineage of Mary Smith Paine Parke"???

I have sent away for the probate of John (1655-1736) but I don't have
much hope from Robert Ward that it will list Mary as John's daughter.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

Widow Mary Paine married Joseph Parke, son of Nathaniel and Sarah Geer
parke in Groton in 1709 - Is there any book of marriages that has this
info in it?
