Nope. Never been to the Historical Society, although I joined it. I keep meaning to get down to Hartford but I'm not too fond of that city. There is also the Ct. Soc.of Genealogists, in East Hartford..and a family historycenter in Glastonbury(maybe the othe way around..I have the addresses filled away)..I have been to those..have to fit it in between family and work..another great resource, besides our UCONN Library, is the Godfrey Library in Midddlefield, Ct. They have fantastic databases on line. If I find anything more in my searches, I will be sure to pass it on. When I retire and my family is grown....then I will travel for genealogy research..although I did not grow up in Ct..I was just over the border..In eastern Ct. we have the Center for Ct. Studies at ECSU..I have wandered over there several times and browsed their book collection. I'm always looking for new sources of info.
