I hope someone can help me with this. I am trying to get records for DAR membership, and am having much more trouble than I had thought.
I am trying to find record of birth of Exzina Bonville, who according to her death certificate was born October 28, 1895 in Montville. Her marriage certificate (to Edward Greenfield Johnson on January 28, 1913) lists her as 17 years old, and born in Montville. AND her daughter Annie's birth certificate lists Exzina as having been born in Montville.
Exzina's parents were Peter Bonville and Amanda Grandchamp (although on the Exzina's marriage certificate, the mother's name is erroneously listed as Manda Grasha).
Exzina's name is also spelled Exena and Exenia.
The problem is, when I wrote to the Montville Town Clerk, they could find no record on Exzina's birth.
Any help at all would be appreciated.
