Thanks to those who responded but my man was a private
and made his mark. Born North Parish, lived Lyme when
he enlisted and discharged. Had four sons, one of
which was named Oliver. I do not have the file at
hand to name the others but theyare common male names
-- no Gardner. Oliver's bio says his father lived to
92, last date in Pension file looks like 1836 but no
date of death nor when pension was stopped. Died in
Lyme. A just found War 1812 file for a later
generation seems to confirm my man is Minard so this
line is from William Maynard, the immigrant and NOT
Thomas Minor of Stonington.Another new "find" wife
probably Sally FROST. If you see any Jonathans in
MAYNARD/MINARD line that may be a possibility. Those
in IGI have no correct data.
Thanks again. Pat.
